Pekan Nabalu used to be a “toilet stop” for tourists heading to Kinabalu Park. But since then this town have flourish with tourist stopping by the 15-meter watch tower of Nabalu to catch a view of Mt.Kinabalu and its landscape. This “must stop” view is usually the preview of the mountain before the climb. Another reason that draws the tourists to Nabalu is the large variety of handicraft and food markets that sells local food and produces.

Taman Kinabalu is Malaysia's first World Heritage Site for its "outstanding universal values" and the role as one of the most important biological sites in the world with more than 4,500 species of flora and fauna, including 326 bird and around 100 mammal species, and over 110 land snail species. he park is one of the most popular tourist spots in Sabah and Malaysia in general.

Taman Tunku Abdul Rahman, Pulau Mamutik
Taman Tunku Abdul Rahman, at Pulau Mamutik is a marine park in a cluster of islands. This park is packed with beach activities as well as snorkeling and diving. Tourist can go for island tours or island hopping that can be booked on the spot at the Jesselton Jetty, except for diving which requires prior arrangements with a dive center.
